Texas Lottery Commission recognized as one of the top workplaces in the nation

Austin, Texas – The Texas Lottery Commission has received recognition for its outstanding work culture, being named a 2025 Top Workplaces USA award recipient. The recognition, announced last week by USA TODAY, on Thursday, is based entirely on anonymous feedback from employees, collected through a survey conducted by Energage, a respected employee engagement technology company.
“Our agency is honored to be recognized on a national level as a Top Workplace,” said Ryan Mindell, Executive Director of the Texas Lottery Commission. “The positive impact we have on public education, veterans and charitable causes is driven by the dedication, creativity and passion of our remarkable employees. Day after day they bring both their expertise and their heart to our mission. This national distinction truly belongs to our entire team and reflects the collaborative, people-focused culture we work so hard to foster.”
Recognition Built on Teamwork and Employee Feedback
The Texas Lottery Commission’s latest national honor follows its local success in November 2024, when it was named one of the Greater Austin Top Workplaces by the Austin American-Statesman. With its first regional Top Workplaces award earned in 2022, the agency has now received three honors in just three award cycles, underscoring a strong and consistent workplace environment.
The Top Workplaces USA award evaluates organizations with 150 or more employees, focusing on the culture they create and sustain. This year, more than 42,000 organizations were invited to participate, with winners determined solely through employee feedback. The survey is rooted in extensive research and includes 15 Culture Drivers, which are proven indicators of organizational success and employee satisfaction.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Supporting Texans Through Lottery and Bingo
Beyond workplace culture, the Texas Lottery Commission continues to play a critical role in supporting the state. The agency responsibly manages lottery products that generate significant revenue for public education and veterans’ programs, while also empowering charitable organizations to raise funds through bingo operations.
As it celebrates this latest achievement, the Texas Lottery Commission credits its continued success to the dedication of its employees, whose passion and commitment fuel both internal excellence and public service impact.
