Dallas to host first-ever Domestic Violence Awareness Month Resource Fair at City Hall

Dallas, Texas – The City of Dallas is set to host its inaugural Domestic Violence Awareness Month Resource Fair on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Dallas City Hall Plaza and Lobby, located at 1500 Marilla Street. The event is dedicated to providing resources, education, and support for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, while highlighting prevention tools and encouraging community involvement.

City leaders and partners will be on hand, including Honorable Gay Donnell Willis, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem representing District 13, and Jessica Galleshaw, Deputy Director and Chief Opportunity Officer for Housing & Community Empowerment.

The event has received wide support from the local community, with sponsorship and in-kind donations from organizations such as Medical City Healthcare, Midtown Improvement District, and the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas. Additional contributions have come from Dallas Arboretum, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Central Market, Reunion Tower, AT&T, Bread Winners Café, Dallas Chamber Symphony, and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.

The resource fair will include nearly a dozen participating agencies offering information, safety planning tips, and access to support services for survivors of domestic violence. Organizers hope to shine a light on the challenges faced by victims while empowering them with life-saving resources and community connections.

This public event underscores the City of Dallas’ commitment to creating a safer, more informed, and compassionate community for all.
