Munoz, to a secluded field and shooting him multiple times. Pinto, who executed this near fatal attack under the guise of revisiting a sentimental location, now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The case has stirred local and national attention due to its shocking nature and the seemingly unprovoked aggression toward Munoz, who is still grappling with the physical and psychological aftermath.

The events leading up to the shooting began when a client of Munoz visited their residence and left his car for repair. This visit, however, sparked an argument between Munoz and Pinto as the woman apparently had other plans for them. Pinto got mad and became violent, attacking Munoz and even attempting to kick one of their dogs. Munoz tried to calm Pinto down, which only intensified her anger.

She’s not just a danger to me or my friends because she knows where several of my friends stay at home, but most importantly, my family. I have little nieces. My sister and nephew, My mom and my dad,” Munoz said.
