Mother of 3 children died after a 32-year-old woman walked up to the passenger side of the vehicle where she was sitting and shot her to death; woman arrested

Tennessee – In a harrowing incident in Tennessee, a 29-year-old mother of three, identified as T. Tabor, was gunned down while sitting in the passenger seat of a car outside a local motel. Authorities have arrested a 32-year-old woman, identified as J. Bradley, who now faces a charge of first-degree murder for Tabor’s death.

The fatal incident happened on the night of February 22, 2025, at around 9:45 p.m. According to a criminal complaint, Tabor was sitting in a vehicle with her boyfriend and sister in the parking lot of the motel when they noticed a woman watching them from a nearby stairwell. The woman, later identified as Bradley, reportedly walked down the stairs, approached the passenger side of the car, raised a firearm, and fired three shots directly at Tabor. Witnesses say that after firing, Bradley shouted, “I told you, b—! I told you!” before fleeing the scene. Tabor was struck multiple times and rushed to hospital in critical condition, but tragically, she did not survive her injuries.

Following the shooting, police gathered surveillance footage from the motel and nearby businesses, which captured images of the suspect. Investigators were able to identify Bradley, and Tabor’s sister later confirmed her identity in a photo lineup. Authorities obtained an arrest warrant shortly after the shooting, but Bradley evaded capture for nearly five months. On Tuesday, Bradley was finally apprehended and booked into the county jail. She is currently being held on a $90,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday for a bond reduction hearing. The motive for the killing remains unclear, though family members believe the suspect was a close acquaintance of Tabor.

Tabor’s death has left an enormous void in her family, particularly for her three young children. Speaking to local media, Tabor’s aunt described the immense pain and confusion the family is facing. “She was a good mom. No one deserves to lose their parents in such a tragedy,” she said, holding back tears. The most difficult part, the aunt shared, has been watching Tabor’s eldest child, a 10-year-old girl, struggle to comprehend the loss. “Mentally, it’s been hard for the 10-year-old because she misses her mom and knows she was killed,” the aunt said.

The family is not only grieving but also grappling with fears of retaliation, with some relatives choosing not to appear on camera out of concern for their safety. Despite these fears, they are calling for justice and praying that no other family has to endure such a devastating loss. “It was the sharpest pain in my heart because I thought, what about the children? What about her kids?” the aunt added.

The deadly shooting has rattled the local community, with neighbors and business owners nearby expressing sorrow and frustration. The owner of a bakery supply store next to the motel, which regularly hires local teens for summer jobs, said the violence has left young employees traumatized. “Now I have six to eight kids with something so traumatic, and we’re failing our kids,” he said.

While Bradley is now in custody, police are continuing their investigation. Authorities have urged anyone with further information to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH to assist in ensuring justice for Tabor and her family. As Tabor’s loved ones mourn her untimely death, they are left clinging to memories of a vibrant mother who was deeply loved. The road ahead will be difficult for her children, who now face life without their mother’s love, care, and guidance. The family’s grief is heavy, but their call for justice remains loud and determined.
