Woman was with her 3-and-5-year-old children when her ex-boyfriend ambushed her outside her home saying “What’s up b—” before stabbing her 12 times; ex-boyfriend arrested

Florida – In a disturbing incident in Florida, a 25-year-old man, identified as C. Anderson, is behind bars after ambushing his ex-girlfriend outside her home and stabbing her a dozen times in front of their 3- and 5-year-old children in a horrifying attack that was captured on surveillance footage. Anderson now faces multiple felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and violating a no-contact order.

According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by authorities, the brutal assault unfolded in broad daylight just as the woman and her children were returning home. Anderson, who was under a restraining order following a prior domestic violence arrest involving the same victim, is accused of lying in wait before carrying out the vicious attack. The incident occurred outside the woman’s residence. Surveillance footage reportedly shows the victim and her two children walking toward the front door when Anderson suddenly appears and violently confronts her. As he approached, he allegedly called out “What’s up, b—?” before launching into the stabbing.

Police say Anderson initially stabbed the woman in the head, causing her to fall to the ground. He then continued to stab her at least seven more times as she lay on the ground, according to the affidavit. As the woman struggled to get up, her 5-year-old ran toward her, only for Anderson to return and stab her four more times — including once in the neck. Despite the horrifying injuries, the woman managed to scream for help and flee to a neighbor’s house. Authorities believe this desperate escape may have saved her life. She was later rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

While the woman was being rushed to the hospital, Anderson reportedly fled the scene. Rather than calling authorities, he drove himself to a medical center to receive treatment for a “slice injury” to his hand, which police suspect he sustained during the assault. Medical staff alerted the police department, who in turn contacted the sheriff’s office. Anderson was quickly identified and taken into custody. Officers noted that his clothing matched what he was wearing in the surveillance video of the attack. Investigators also observed a “blood-like substance” on the steering wheel of the vehicle he drove to the hospital.

When questioned, Anderson admitted to having a prior domestic violence arrest involving the same woman. That arrest occurred in February and involved allegations of domestic battery by strangulation. A no-contact order had since been issued, prohibiting him from interacting with the victim. Despite the court order, police say Anderson had been stalking the woman and was caught on surveillance cameras following her vehicle shortly before the stabbing. During the interrogation, Anderson told investigators he had become increasingly frustrated since his February arrest because he was seeing his children less often. He also believed the woman had started a new relationship and admitted to harassing the other man on Facebook. Anderson claimed he had no clear memory of the attack but acknowledged his hand injury.

Authorities believe the attack was premeditated, pointing to the way Anderson tracked his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle and lay in wait outside her home. The presence of the children during the stabbing has added another layer of horror to the case. Anderson is currently being held without bail at the county jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 28. Prosecutors are expected to pursue the case aggressively given the violent nature of the assault and the prior history of domestic violence. Meanwhile, the victim continues to recover in the hospital as her family and community rally around her. Child Protective Services is also involved to ensure the safety and care of the children who witnessed the attack.
