Loloi announces major expansion in Ennis with $20 million investment and over 380 new jobs

Ennis, Texas – Governor Greg Abbott has announced that Loloi, Inc., a leading family-owned textile company, will construct a new distribution facility in Ennis. The project, which represents a $20 million capital investment, is expected to create more than 380 new jobs and significantly enhance the city’s industrial footprint.

The facility, which will span over 1 million square feet, marks a significant step in Loloi’s ongoing growth as part of a multi-phase headquarters distribution expansion just south of Dallas. The move was made possible in part by a $2,451,000 Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant, along with a $45,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus—a special incentive offered to companies that generate new employment opportunities for U.S. veterans.

Building on a Strong Texas Foundation

Founded in 2003, Loloi is headquartered in Dallas and has grown into a nationally recognized distributor of designer rugs, pillows, and throws. The company is also expanding into additional home furnishing categories. Founder and President Amir Loloi emphasized the company’s deep roots in the Lone Star State and its commitment to continued growth. “Texas has been our home since we started Loloi more than 20 years ago, and the state continues to provide opportunities to grow,” he said. “This new facility in Ennis will allow us to add more jobs and create a world-class facility that we are proud of.”

Governor Abbott praised the announcement, tying it to the broader success of Texas as a pro-business environment. “Texas is where the crossroads of hard work and opportunity lead to success,” he said. “This $20 million investment by Loloi in Ennis just south of Dallas will create hundreds of good-paying jobs for hardworking Texans. With robust infrastructure and transportation networks providing easy access to key markets, Texas offers unmatched operating advantages for companies looking to expand.”

A New Chapter for the City of Ennis

Local leaders also welcomed the news, describing it as a testament to Ennis’ business-friendly climate. Mayor Kameron Raburn expressed gratitude for the state’s support and highlighted the regional benefits of the project. “This investment, made possible through the support of the Texas Enterprise Fund, represents not only new jobs and economic growth for our city, but also a strong vote of confidence in the talented workforce and vibrant business climate we’ve built in Ennis,” he said.

Echoing that sentiment, Miriam Castillo, Director of the Ennis Economic Development Corporation, called the announcement the result of years of strategic planning. “This announcement reflects the cumulative work that has gone into creating opportunity in Ennis through partnerships and long-term vision,” she said. “Loloi’s footprint and associated investment mark a meaningful expansion of our region’s industrial base.”

With construction expected to begin soon, the new facility is set to become a key asset in both Loloi’s long-term business strategy and the economic future of Ennis.
