North Texas player wins final $3 million top prize in Colossal Cashword scratch ticket game
Fort Worth, Texas – A North Texas resident recently claimed a massive lottery prize after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket worth $3 million in the Texas Lottery game Colossal Cashword, officials confirmed.
The winning ticket was bought by a Euless resident, who chose to keep their identity private after claiming the prize. According to lottery officials, the ticket was purchased at Moonlight Food Mart, located at 13900 Trinity Blvd. in Fort Worth.
This is an important milestone for the popular scratch-off game, as it represents the fourth and final top prize of $3 million available in the Colossal Cashword game.

Lottery officials confirmed that the jackpot ticket was the last top prize remaining in the game. Because the final jackpot has now been claimed, the game has officially been called to close.
While the jackpot winner has already come forward, the Texas Lottery says other players may still have smaller winning tickets that can be redeemed before the deadline.
Colossal Cashword was one of the lottery’s larger scratch ticket games, offering players the chance to win significant prizes across multiple prize levels. In total, the game awarded more than $162.4 million in prizes.
The odds of winning any prize in the game were one in 3.31, a figure that includes smaller prizes that simply return the cost of the ticket.
Lottery officials also highlighted that the store where the winning ticket was sold may receive a bonus for selling the jackpot ticket. Under the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program, the retailer could be eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the top prize-winning ticket.
Although the major jackpot prizes have all been claimed, the Texas Lottery is reminding players that any remaining winning tickets must be redeemed before the claim deadline.
Players who still hold winning Colossal Cashword tickets have until October 13, 2026, to come forward and claim their prize.
