Woman ran over her boyfriend she was involved with in an on-again, off-again relationship, with her vehicle just because she found out he was seeing another woman as well; charged

Florida – In a shocking case of jealousy and rage in Florida, a 19-year-old woman, identified as Y. Edouard, faces serious legal consequences after running over her 20-year-old boyfriend, with whom she had an on-again, off-again relationship, with her vehicle when she learned he was dating another woman as well. The incident, marked by prior acts of vandalism, culminated in serious physical harm and has led to charges of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm against Edouard.

The sequence of events leading to the arrest began earlier on the day of the attack when Edouard reportedly vandalized the car of her boyfriend, identified as K. Saintil, by throwing eggs at it and dousing it with ketchup and mustard. The vandalism stemmed from Edouard’s discovery of Saintil’s multiple romantic involvements, which included another woman aside from herself. This discovery seemingly triggered the violent retaliation that followed.

Later that same day, the situation escalated dramatically. Saintil, along with his other girlfriend and friends, was walking within their apartment complex when they encountered Edouard driving her white vehicle. According to victim statements and police reports, Edouard, driven by fury, deliberately drove toward Saintil at a speed described by witnesses as fast enough to cause harm.

Saintil attempted to evade the vehicle but was unsuccessful. He was struck and catapulted onto the windshield, which shattered upon impact, resulting in him suffering multiple cuts on his right side, including injuries to his arm, shoulder, and hip. The description of the event paints a chaotic scene, with Saintil recalling the vehicle “flying over the speed bumps” before the collision that sent him “flying in the air.”

During her interaction with law enforcement, Edouard admitted to the tumultuous nature of their on-again, off-again relationship and acknowledged her actions during the incident. She claimed to have been provoked by the discovery of Saintil’s relationship with the other woman, which led to her aggressive response. Despite these claims, Edouard confirmed that she did not intend to stop or slow down as she approached Saintil, indicating a deliberate intent to injure.

The sheriff’s office promptly responded to the scene following the incident, and Edouard was arrested and taken into custody. The case has since moved through the judicial system, with Edouard currently out on bond and awaiting a court hearing scheduled for March 10. The community and those involved have been left shaken by the violence of the event. The act of using a vehicle as a weapon in a domestic dispute underscores the severe implications of personal conflicts escalating to physical violence. Saintil’s comments to the media highlighted his perception of the attack as stemming from hatred and unresolved issues from their now-past relationship.

As this case progresses, it serves as a stark reminder of the potential for domestic disputes to result in serious injury and the importance of addressing conflicts in a healthy and lawful manner. The involvement of the legal system underscores the gravity of Edouard’s alleged actions and the long-term consequences that can arise from moments of intense emotional distress manifested through violence.
