Woman asked her boyfriend to leave following an argument before he grabbed a gun and shot her, her daughter and her mother to death just because he had nowhere else to go

Missouri – In a tragic event that unfolded over the weekend in Missouri, a 50-year-old man, identified as A. Navarro, is accused of a violent rampage where he killed his 49-year-old girlfriend, identified as Jodie H., his girlfriend’s 24-year-old daughter, identified as Hailey H., and his girlfriend’s 73-year-old mother, identified as S. Duncan. Navarro is now facing multiple charges, including three counts of first-degree murder and charges of armed criminal action and assault.
The disturbing incident took place shortly after midnight on Sunday in Jodie’s home. According to police, after an intense argument, Navarro turned violent, unleashing a deadly attack on his girlfriend, her daughter, and her mother. Prosecutor E. Zahnd, during a Monday press conference, described the scene police encountered as “horrific.” The victims identified were all found deceased at the scene. The violence reportedly began with a prolonged argument between Navarro and Jodie, who asked him to leave the house. This dispute escalated dramatically when Navarro, refusing to leave and claiming he had nowhere to go, retrieved a handgun and began shooting.
The affidavit states that after the initial shots were fired, Navarro continued his assault with more weapons. He first shot Jodie in the upper arm and, after running out of bullets, briefly switched to a knife before going back for a larger firearm. In a chilling moment, he pointed the gun under his chin before shooting Jodie in the face as she attempted to flee. Hailey was also fatally shot during the attack. One of the daughters, witnessing her grandmother motionless on the floor and under direct threat, was urged to escape by her sister. As she ran, Navarro fired again but fortunately missed. Outside, she hid behind a house, hearing Navarro calling her name in a haunting search.
The survivor’s quick thinking led her to a neighbor’s house, from where police were alerted. Meanwhile, Navarro fled the scene in a vehicle, which was later found in a ditch 150 miles away from the scene by the sheriff’s office. Upon discovering Navarro was a suspect in the triple homicide, he was detained, and a firearm with spent casings was found in the vehicle. Further deepening the narrative, Navarro’s son informed the police that his father had confessed over the phone to killing everyone, spurred by relational discord and uncertainty about his future.
Navarro is currently held without bond in the county’s jail. The legal process is just beginning, with the community and the victims’ family reeling from the shock and the brutal nature of the crimes. As the case moves forward, it highlights the devastating impact of domestic disputes that escalate into violence, leaving a community to mourn and seek justice for the senseless loss of life. The authorities hope that the resolution of this case will bring some closure to the victims’ family, although the scars of this tragedy will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
