South Dallas Fair Park Opportunity Fund opens grant applications for 2025 community development programs

Dallas, Texas – The South Dallas Fair Park Opportunity Fund is now accepting applications for its 2025 Human Development Grant, providing funding for nonprofit programs that support workforce participation, small business growth, public safety, health, and education. The application period begins Tuesday, February 18, and will remain open for five weeks, closing on Friday, March 21.
Grant Supports Community Growth and Development
This grant program aims to support transformative initiatives within the designated service area, ensuring that at least 90 percent of program beneficiaries are local residents. The fund provides up to $200,000 annually to support new or expanded nonprofit programs that create measurable improvements in the community. Eligible organizations must be located within the fund’s service area or serve a majority population from that region.
Information Sessions Available for Applicants
To assist interested applicants in navigating the application process, the Office of Economic Development will host two information sessions. These sessions will provide an overview of the funding process and allow applicants to ask questions.
The first session will be held on Tuesday, February 25, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the South Dallas Cultural Center in Multi-Arts Room A, located at 3400 S. Fitzhugh Avenue in Dallas. The second session will take place on Thursday, March 13, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the WeCreation Center at St. Philip’s School, 3016 Colonial Avenue in Dallas.
