Dallas Police analyst Laura Kennedy named 2026 Texas Gang Investigators Association Crime Analyst of the Year

Dallas, Texas – The Dallas Police Department is celebrating one of its own after Fusion Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst Laura Kennedy received statewide recognition for her work supporting gang investigations.

Kennedy was named the 2026 Texas Gang Investigators Association Crime Analyst of the Year, an award recognizing her outstanding contributions to criminal intelligence and public safety.

According to the Dallas Police Department, Kennedy earned the honor because of her continued dedication to assisting gang investigations not only in Dallas but throughout Texas and even beyond the state’s borders.

Her intelligence work has supported law enforcement efforts across multiple jurisdictions, helping investigators combat gang-related criminal activity.

The award was presented during the Texas Gang Investigators Association’s annual event.

Serving as master of ceremonies was Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who presented the awards alongside leaders of the Texas Gang Investigators Association.
