Waco, Texas – A Central Texas resident has walked away with a life-changing prize after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket in Waco. Officials with the Texas Lottery confirmed that the lucky player claimed a top prize worth $1 million in the scratch ticket game Million Dollar Loteria.
The ticket was sold at EZ Shop Convenience Store, located at 3730 N. 19th St. in Waco. According to lottery officials, the player who purchased the ticket chose to remain anonymous, which is permitted under Texas Lottery rules for large prize winners.
Lottery representatives said the store that sold the winning ticket may also benefit from the win. Under the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program, the retailer could receive a bonus payment of $10,000 for selling the top prize ticket.
