Fort Worth, Texas – Recognition has come to Fort Worth after the city secured a strong position among leading fleet operations across the continent. The city was ranked 13th out of the 100 Best Fleets in North America by the NAFA Fleet Management Association, placing it firmly within a top-performing group known for efficiency and innovation.
This ranking is part of an annual benchmarking program that measures how well fleet systems perform in real-world conditions. The evaluation looks at multiple layers of operation, including how resources are used, how technology is applied, and how agencies plan for long-term sustainability. Fort Worth’s placement reflects a steady ability to manage a large and demanding fleet while keeping services dependable.
Strong performance among major cities
Among the cities listed in the top 100, Fort Worth stands out not only for its ranking but also for its size. It competes alongside larger urban centers such as San Diego, Seattle, and Atlanta. Despite the scale and complexity that comes with serving a large population, the city continues to deliver stable and responsive fleet services.
The ranking reflects strong results in areas that directly affect daily operations. Public safety readiness remains a key factor, ensuring that emergency vehicles and support units are always prepared. Cost control also plays a role, showing that the city is careful in how it manages spending while still maintaining high service levels. Data-driven decision-making further supports these efforts, allowing leaders to respond quickly and adjust strategies based on real information.
At the same time, members of the Fleet Division reached an important professional step forward. Brad Hunter, Aaron Kellis, and Anthony Jasso completed the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager program through the NAFA Fleet Management Association. This certification is widely seen as one of the highest achievements in the field, requiring detailed knowledge in areas such as budgeting, safety, compliance, and long-term planning.
The recognition continued during the 100 Best Fleet awards event held in Cleveland, where the team members received their diplomas. Their achievement adds another layer to the city’s overall success, showing both strong system performance and skilled leadership behind it.
