Get ready for Lone Star NYE, lively Texas party and a spectacular fireworks display over Dallas

Dallas, Texas – Get ready for Lone Star NYE, celebrating the start of 2024 with a lively Texas party and a spectacular fireworks display over Dallas!

Tune in to NBC 5 on Dec. 31, from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., for Lone Star NYE: Countdown to 2024.

The highlight is a 10-minute show of fireworks and LED lights from the Reunion Tower. Expect over 5,000 firework effects, 259 LED lights, and nearly 300 drones lighting up the sky.

Texas rock group Bowling For Soup will be the main act for this one-hour event, playing popular songs like “Girl All The Bad Guys Want” and “1985.”

This New Year’s event coincides with the band’s 30th anniversary and a busy tour year ahead.

Jaret Reddick of the band expressed his excitement.

“We have so much fun doing what we’re doing,” said band member Jaret Reddick. “We’ve definitely found our niche and it’s insane it’s been going on 30 years.”

Joining them will be Texas country singer Bri Bagwell and the local alternative country band Vandoliers from DFW.

Viewers can join in by posting their celebration photos with #LoneStarNYE on social media, and some might get featured in the show.
