From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event in the Haggard Park promises an enriching experience for all ages with its blend of arts, music, and gastronomic sensations.

The Plano International Festival, the biggest and longest-running multicultural celebration in North Texas, has grown to be a beloved tradition attracting thousands of people annually. The festival planners expect a big attendance this year as community members gather to enjoy a wide range of events and performances highlighting the great variety of cultures from all around the world.

The celebrations will start with the visually spectacular Parade of Flags, which sets the festive tone for the day. Participants from several nations will carry their national flags, therefore forming a vibrant tapestry that represents the diversity and harmony of the global community in Plano.

The event provides something for everyone from artistic exhibits to interesting children’s activities. Live performances by local dance groups representing continents including the Americas, Europe, and Asia—who will bring their distinctive dances and traditional music to the stage—stand as highlights of the event.

Without the chance to taste fresh cuisines, no celebration is complete; the Plano International celebration shines in this area. On-site will be several ethnic food trucks providing a sample of international cuisine. From savory European cuisine to fiery Asian delicacies, the menu seems to be as varied as the presentations and performances.
