Texas Lottery Commission named among the best places to work in Greater Austin area for a second time
Austin, Texas – The Texas Lottery Commission has been honored as one of the best places to work in the Greater Austin area, securing a spot on the Austin American-Statesman’s Top Workplaces 2024 list. This recognition, based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey conducted by Energage, highlights the agency’s dedication to fostering a supportive and empowering workplace culture.
Employee-Centered Success
“Our agency is thrilled to be recognized once again as a Top Workplace in Greater Austin,” said Ryan Mindell, Executive Director of the Texas Lottery Commission. “The success of our team in positively impacting public education, veterans, and charitable causes across the state would not be possible without our talented, innovative, and passionate staff. They bring not only their skills but also their heart to this work every day. This award is a testament to them and to the collaborative, team-centered culture we’ve built.”
The confidential survey used to determine the award assessed key components of employee experience, including feeling respected and supported, opportunities for growth, and empowerment to execute responsibilities effectively.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Energage CEO Eric Rubino. “Leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Commitment to Community and Revenue Milestones
The Texas Lottery Commission, known for responsibly managing lottery products and supporting charitable bingo operations, plays a crucial role in funding public education and veterans’ services in the state.
In Fiscal Year 2024, the agency reported an impressive $8.39 billion in total sales, marking its second-best year for revenue generation. Over $2 billion from these proceeds directly supported public education and veterans’ initiative.
