Strategic location and innovation drive Dallas to No. 1 spot for corporate relocations

Dallas, Texas – Based on a recent poll by Site Selection Magazine, Dallas ranks first among all the cities in the United States for corporate headquarters relocation sites. This esteemed ranking highlights the city’s continuous ability to draw business and support economic development.
Site selectors, who provide consultancy to CEOs on relocation decisions, have ranked Dallas above other competitive cities such as Charlotte, Atlanta, and Nashville. The decision criteria in several aspects that Dallas offers as a commercial center underline its strategic importance in the national and worldwide economic scene.
“I’m proud to see Dallas recognized as the top city in America for business headquarter relocations. This distinction should come as no surprise — Dallas has been on an economic winning streak in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down heading into 2025,” said City of Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson.
“Texas has rightly earned its reputation as the ideal state to do business, and this recognition reinforces Dallas as the best city not just in Texas, but in the entire nation for businesses.”
According to findings, Texas’s prominent position in the global economy—especially with regard to strategic access to important U.S. seaports—significantly contributes to its appeal for corporate activities.

Furthermore, the state has undergone fast population increase, which guarantees consistent supply of consumer markets and talent. Emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, aerospace, and energy are particularly vibrant in the region, drawing in more business relocations.
“This ranking is a testament to the power of collaboration and each of our stakeholders who make Dallas extraordinary,” said Interim City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert.
“We will continue evolving into a recognized global city by maintaining our strategic focus on innovation, efficient government, and targeted economic growth so all residents and businesses can thrive.”
This recognition not only honors Dallas’s current financial strength but also prepares the ground for further expansion. The city appeals more and more to businesses trying to move their headquarters since it symbolizes the intentional efforts of the city to improve its business environment.

Dallas is likely to keep and expand its leadership as a top city for business throughout the country with constant attention on innovation and economic development.
