City of Fort Worth prepares for historic swearing-in of Jesus Chapa as city manager

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth is set to make history as Jesus “Jay” Chapa will be sworn in as the city’s next manager at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, at Old City Hall located at 200 Texas St. The swearing-in ceremony will be followed by the regular City Council meeting.

Chapa’s appointment marks a significant milestone as he becomes the first Hispanic city manager in Fort Worth’s history. He will take the helm of one of the fastest-growing large cities in the United States.
