Dallas, Texas – Severe storms swept through North Texas, causing widespread power outages, traffic disruptions, and emergency responses across Dallas. City officials and emergency crews worked through the night to address the aftermath, ensuring public safety and restoring essential services.

The storm led to significant power disruptions, with Oncor reporting 75,000 outages, including several city facilities. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to multiple reports of downed power lines and traffic accidents, while Dallas Police handled more than 50 collisions, some of which were weather-related.
Emergency crews also worked to clear debris from roadways, ensuring safe passage for residents. 311 received a surge in calls, with the majority related to fallen trees and malfunctioning traffic signals.
The storm significantly impacted traffic operations, with more than 90 signals flashing at some point and 78 going completely dark. Transportation crews prioritized key intersections for repairs, working to restore functionality as quickly as possible.
