Volunteers needed in Fort Worth area to assist transit riders during World Cup games in Arlington

Arlington, Texas – A new volunteer effort is taking shape in Fort Worth as Trinity Metro prepares for a major influx of visitors during this summer’s global soccer event. The agency has announced that it is seeking community members to join its Trinity Metro Envoy program, which will focus on helping travelers navigate transit services during the FIFA World Cup matches.

The program is designed to place friendly and helpful volunteers at key transit points, where they can assist visitors who may be unfamiliar with the system. With thousands expected to travel through the region, officials say the goal is to make transportation easier and more welcoming for everyone attending the matches.

Volunteers to support visitors during major event

Matches are scheduled to take place at Dallas Stadium in Arlington from June 14 through July 14. During this time, volunteers will play a key role in guiding passengers, answering questions, and helping people reach their destinations without confusion.

To take part in the program, volunteers must commit to at least 20 hours of service. In return, Trinity Metro is offering several perks to show appreciation. Participants will receive meals while on duty, along with branded items such as a ballcap, custom jersey, mini-backpack, and a transit-themed lanyard.

Officials say the program is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with others and want to be part of a large international event. The presence of trained volunteers is expected to improve the overall transit experience, especially for visitors coming from outside the area.
