Dallas lottery player wins $2.4 million Texas Two Step jackpot with Quick Pick ticket from 7 Eleven store

Dallas, Texas – A Dallas resident has stepped into sudden fortune after claiming a massive Texas Two Step jackpot worth $2.4 million, marking one of the largest prizes the game has seen in years. The winning ticket was tied to the March 5 drawing and was purchased at a 7-Eleven Convenience Store #36361A, located at 4590 Frankford Road in Dallas. The individual who claimed the prize chose to remain anonymous, adding a quiet mystery to an otherwise headline-grabbing win.

The ticket itself was a Quick Pick selection, meaning the numbers were randomly generated. Despite that element of chance, the ticket perfectly matched all the required numbers. The winning combination included the white balls 2, 3, 19, and 29, along with the red Bonus Ball number 9. Matching all of these numbers secured the top prize, placing this win among the most notable in the game’s long history.

One of the biggest jackpots in years

This $2.4 million prize stands out as the largest Texas Two Step jackpot since 2006 and ranks as the second biggest since the game first launched in 2001. The only larger jackpot came from an April 27, 2006 drawing, when a $2.9 million prize was shared by three winners. That comparison highlights just how rare and significant this latest win truly is.

Retailers also benefit when a major winning ticket is sold. In this case, the 7-Eleven location where the ticket was purchased may receive a $5,000 bonus through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program, rewarding the store for its role in the winning moment.

The Texas Two Step game begins each jackpot at $200,000, and the amount continues to grow with each drawing until someone claims it. Players must match all four white ball numbers, which range from 1 to 35, along with one red Bonus Ball number from the same range, to win the jackpot. The overall odds of winning are listed as one in 32.4, making such victories uncommon but not impossible.

Drawings for the game are held twice a week, every Monday and Thursday at 10:12 p.m. Central Time. Tickets must be purchased by 10:02 p.m. on drawing nights to be eligible.

The next Texas Two Step drawing is scheduled for Monday, March 30, with an advertised jackpot of $200,000. As part of a special promotion called “Monday Madness,” players who spend $5 or more on Texas Two Step tickets that day will receive one free $1 Quick Pick ticket. The promotion is available at Texas Lottery retail locations across the state, offering another chance for hopeful players to try their luck and perhaps become the next big winner.
