Dallas Zoo to host National Dino Day celebration all weekend long

Dallas, Texas – If you love dinosaurs and the zoo, mark your calendars for an exciting weekend at the Dallas Zoo. This Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Dallas Zoo, in partnership with Reliant, is hosting a National Dino Day celebration.
Visitors will enjoy $1 off each ticket to Destination: Dinosaurs Presented by Reliant. This exhibit, one of the largest immersive dinosaur experiences in the country, promises a thrilling adventure for aspiring paleontologists and dinosaur enthusiasts alike.
“There’s a scavenger hunt so folks can explore the zoo, other habitats, and learn about the descendants of dinosaurs that actually live right here at the Dallas Zoo,” said Kari Streiber, VP of marketing and communications.
The event is packed with dino-themed activities, including fossil rubbings, exploring dinosaur caves, and marveling at nearly 40 animatronic dinosaurs. Costumed characters will also be roaming the zoo, adding to the prehistoric fun.

Food lovers, whether herbivore or carnivore, will not be disappointed. The zoo has prepared special dino-themed treats like Pterodactyl Legs (turkey legs), Dinosaur Eggs (risotto fritters), Dinosaur-shaped Rice Crispy treats, and Dino Dirt Cups (chocolate pudding with crushed cookies and a dino gummy).
Adding to the excitement, the Dallas Zoo is in the midst of its Safari Nights concert series.
“We’re in the middle of our Safari Nights concert series, so Saturday night we have Shania Twang, a Shania Twang tribute band, and Safari Nights is included with your zoo admission,” Streiber continued.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. and is included with zoo admission.
