City of Dallas collaborates with USCIS to host their 4th naturalization ceremony for new U.S. citizens
Dalls, Texas – The City of Dallas, in partnership with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), will host its fourth naturalization ceremony, celebrating 30 local residents as they take their oath to officially become United States citizens.
Honoring New Citizens with a Memorable Ceremony
The naturalization ceremony, scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11 a.m., will take place at the City of Dallas, 1500 South Marilla Street, 6th Floor Flag Room. This special event will highlight the importance of citizenship and commemorate the journey of these individuals in becoming part of the American community.
Andreea Udrea, Deputy Director of Zoning within Dallas’s Planning and Development Department, will serve as the guest speaker, offering words of encouragement and inspiration to the new citizens. The event will also include a stirring rendition of the National Anthem by Michael D’Andre Childs, a participant in the Office of Arts and Culture Community Artist Program.
Adding to the ceremony’s significance, the Dallas Police Department will present the Colors, symbolizing the unity and pride of the nation. The League of Women Voters will also be on-site to assist with voter registration, ensuring the new citizens are empowered to exercise their rights.
