City of Dallas invites residents to help shape future funding priorities
Dallas, Texas – The City of Dallas is calling on residents to participate in a series of public meetings aimed at shaping the FY 2025-26 HUD Consolidated Plan Budget. Hosted by the Budget & Management Services – Grant Administration team in collaboration with the Community Development Commission (CDC), these meetings offer a platform for community input on how federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will be allocated to enhance Dallas neighborhoods.
Why Community Feedback Matters
The federally required HUD Consolidated Plan determines the allocation of funds for critical programs aimed at improving quality of life in Dallas. By attending these meetings or completing an online survey, residents can voice their priorities and concerns, ensuring that the funding supports programs that directly impact the community.
“Your input is critical to ensuring that federal funds are used effectively to support programs that improve the quality of life for Dallas residents,” city officials emphasized. The feedback gathered will help prioritize funding for programs such as affordable housing, community development, and public services.
