Keep Fort Worth Beautiful to host annual citywide cleanup and festivities for Earth Month

Fort Worth, Texas – Keep Fort Worth Beautiful is gearing up for its biggest event of the year, the 40th Annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup, set to take place on Saturday, March 29. As part of its ongoing mission to keep the city clean and beautiful, this event encourages individuals and groups to come together and remove litter from public spaces across Fort Worth.

This cleanup effort is more than just a one-day event. In 2024, volunteers collected over 134,000 pounds of litter, proving that community-driven initiatives can have a significant impact on the local environment.

Volunteers Play a Key Role in Cleanup Efforts

Registration for the Cowtown Cleanup is now open. Participants can sign up as individuals or in groups and will be assigned to a preselected cleanup hub or a public area of their choosing. Volunteers will be provided with all necessary cleanup supplies, including gloves and trash bags. The first 4,000 registrants will also receive a free event T-shirt as a token of appreciation for their commitment to keeping Fort Worth clean.

After a morning of hard work, all volunteers are invited to Rockwood Park for Earth Party, a celebration of the dedicated individuals who contribute to the beautification of Fort Worth.

Earth Party Brings Fun and Recognition

Earth Party will serve as a well-earned reward for all volunteers, featuring live music, food and drinks, exhibitor promotions, animal adoptions, and the highly anticipated Trashion Fashion Show. The event aims to highlight the importance of sustainability while providing an entertaining and engaging atmosphere for participants of all ages.

Creativity Shines at the Trashion Fashion Show

One of the highlights of the Earth Party celebration is the Trashion Fashion Show, where participants are challenged to create runway-ready outfits using at least 50% trash or recyclable materials. This competition showcases the creative ways in which waste can be repurposed into innovative fashion statements. Winners will be selected and awarded prizes for their outstanding designs.

Fort Worth residents are encouraged to register for the cleanup and join in the festivities to help make their city a cleaner, greener place. For more details on how to participate, visit the Cowtown Great American Cleanup website.
