Fort Worth hosts special St. Patrick’s season adoption event to find homes for shelter pets

Fort Worth, Texas – As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, Fort Worth Animal Care & Control (FWACC) is giving local residents the chance to find their lucky charm in the form of a furry friend. The upcoming “Luck of the Paws” adoption event will take place on Thursday, March 13, bringing adorable dogs and cats to Fort Worth City Hall in hopes of matching them with loving homes.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to meet various pets who are eager to find a fresh start. Whether looking to adopt or simply wanting to learn more about FWACC’s life-saving foster program, visitors can take part in an event that celebrates both animals and the kindness of the community.
The Power of Fostering and Adoption
While adoption provides immediate homes for shelter animals, fostering plays an equally crucial role in saving lives. The FWACC foster program has helped save hundreds of animals in the past year by preparing pets for future homes and creating much-needed space in the shelter. Every animal fostered has the potential to save up to three other pets, allowing more animals to receive care and eventual placement in loving homes.
The event aims to highlight the importance of fostering, demonstrating how temporary placements can make a lasting impact. Attendees will have the chance to speak with shelter representatives, learn about the process, and see firsthand the difference they can make in an animal’s life.
Join the Celebration and Make a Difference
The “Luck of the Paws” event is open to all who wish to help Fort Worth’s shelter animals, whether through adoption, fostering, or spreading awareness. With so many deserving pets looking for homes, this event provides a perfect opportunity to bring a little extra luck into a pet’s life.
