Two Texas residents win $1 million each on scratch off tickets bought in Prairie View and Hillsboro

Austin, Texas – Two Texas residents recently experienced life-changing moments after scratching winning tickets worth $1 million each, according to the Texas Lottery. The prizes came from two different scratch-off games, with both winners choosing to remain anonymous after claiming their winnings.

Lottery officials confirmed that the tickets were purchased at separate retailers in Prairie View and Hillsboro, turning ordinary stops into unforgettable events for the lucky players.

Two Texans Claim $1 Million Scratch-Off Prizes

One of the winners is a Hempstead resident who claimed a $1 million top prize from the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game $1,000,000 Riches.

According to the Texas Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased at Fuel Maxx #60, located at 45620 Highway 290 Bus. in Prairie View. After discovering the big win, the player came forward to claim the prize but decided to remain anonymous.

Lottery officials said the winning ticket represents the first of four top prizes worth $1 million available in the $1,000,000 Riches scratch game.

The game itself features a large prize pool. Officials noted that $1,000,000 Riches offers more than $57.2 million in total prizes, giving players many chances to win.

Players also have measurable odds of success. According to the Texas Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.82, a figure that includes smaller break-even prizes.

Because the ticket was sold at Fuel Maxx #60, the retailer may also benefit from the big win. Under the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program, the store could be eligible to receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Second $1 Million Prize Claimed in Another Game

A second major win was also recently confirmed in Texas.

A Whitney resident claimed a $1 million top prize from another scratch-off game known as Premier Play. Like the Hempstead winner, the Whitney resident also chose to remain anonymous after claiming the prize.

The lucky ticket was purchased at a Valero store located at 214 W. Elm St. in Hillsboro.

Lottery officials said this prize represents the third of ten top prizes worth $1 million available in the Premier Play game.

Premier Play features a significantly large prize pool. According to the Texas Lottery, the game offers more than $137.5 million in total prizes, giving players many opportunities to win.

The game also has favorable odds compared to many other lottery games. Officials reported that the overall odds of winning any prize in Premier Play are one in 3.55, again including break-even prizes.

As with the first winning ticket, the retailer that sold the prize could also receive a financial reward. The Hillsboro Valero store may qualify for a $10,000 bonus under the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program for selling the winning ticket.

With millions still available in both games, Texas Lottery officials say more big wins could still be waiting for lucky players across the state.
