NFL fans in Texas can now enter new scratch ticket games tied to their favorite football teams
Dallas, Texas – In a spirited kickoff to the 2025 football season, the Texas Lottery has once again joined forces with two of the state’s beloved NFL franchises—the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans—to release new themed scratch ticket games. These $5 instant tickets not only offer players chances to win big cash prizes and unforgettable fan experiences, but they also contribute significantly to public education through the Foundation School Fund.
The Cowboys- and Texans-themed games, launched on August 18, mark the 17th consecutive year of partnership between the Texas Lottery and the two NFL teams. This long-standing collaboration has turned into a fan-favorite tradition and has generated substantial financial support for education initiatives across the state.
Big Prizes and Bigger Goals
The new Dallas Cowboys scratch ticket game features over $29.8 million in total cash prizes, including four top prizes of $100,000, and offers more than 2,100 second-chance prizes. Players have an overall one-in-3.80 chance of winning an instant cash prize. These non-winning tickets can also be entered into second-chance drawings for exclusive Cowboys experiences like a Wild Weekend Suite Package, VIP Draft Day War Room Experience, Training Camp access, season tickets for two, or a $500 Pro Shop Gift Card.
The Houston Texans scratch ticket version is similarly exciting, with over $17.6 million in total prizes and four $100,000 top prizes available. Texans fans also get the opportunity to win 65 second-chance VIP experiences, such as a Private Plane Away Game Trip, a Luxury Suite and On-Field Contest Experience, or season tickets for two. The odds of winning an instant cash prize with this game stand at one in 3.77.
To participate in the second-chance drawings, players must register or already be registered with the Texas Lottery Luck Zone. Drawings will be held throughout the game’s duration, with announced deadlines of September 19, October 24, November 28, 2025, and January 16, 2026, with a final drawing deadline still to be determined.
A Winning Partnership for Public Education
The Cowboys and Texans scratch ticket games are not just about football and prizes—they also play a critical role in funding Texas education. Since their debut in 2009, the Cowboys-themed games have brought in over $505.3 million in sales, contributing approximately $102.6 million to the Foundation School Fund. Meanwhile, the Texans-themed games have generated more than $296 million, with $64.7 million of that also going toward the same fund.
