Dallas Police Department and AT&T Performing Arts Center to host vibrant AAPI Heritage event

Dallas, Texas – The Dallas Police Department Office of Community Affairs, in partnership with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, is inviting residents and visitors to join in the celebration of diversity and culture during the third annual Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Celebration. This exciting and colorful event is designed to honor the many contributions of the AAPI community while fostering connection and understanding throughout the city.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sammons Park, located at 2403 Flora St., Dallas, TX 75201. This free event promises to offer a variety of activities and experiences that showcase the rich cultures within the AAPI community.
Attendees will have the chance to explore a bustling vendor market featuring local artisans, enjoy engaging cultural performances, and indulge in authentic dishes from various Asian cultures. One of the standout features of the day will be the Culinary Passport Activity, a unique opportunity where guests can “sample dishes from six different Asian cultures—Armenia, China, India, Korea, Thailand, and Turkey—while learning about the cultural significance of each dish.” Completing the passport will also offer participants a chance to win exciting prizes through a raffle.
Beyond the entertainment and food, the event aims to build stronger connections between the Dallas Police Department and the AAPI community. By hosting events such as this, the department continues to demonstrate its commitment to public safety and strengthening relationships across all cultures in the city.
