H-E-B to open additional stores and expand discount supermarket chain in DFW area

Fort Worth, Texas – The popular San Antonio-based grocery chain H-E-B has unveiled its ambitious plans for expansion within Texas, signaling a significant growth phase for the company. This year, H-E-B is set to open four new stores across the state and expand its discount supermarket chain, Joe V’s Smart Shop.

New Store Locations Revealed

Among the new additions, one anticipated store is slated to open its doors in downtown Fort Worth later this year. The expansion doesn’t stop there; H-E-B has also disclosed the locations of its other new stores, strategically positioned in the suburbs of Dallas-Fort Worth. The forthcoming store locations include:

  • Forney, situated at the Villages at Gateway at North Gateway Boulevard and U.S. Highway 80
  • Frisco, which will mark the city’s second H-E-B store, located at U.S. 380 and FM 423
  • Mansfield, at the intersection of U.S. 287 and East Broad Street

In addition to these stores, H-E-B has plans to introduce two more stores in North Texas by 2025. The expansion strategy also includes the opening of two new Joe V’s Smart Shop locations in Dallas, scheduled for 2024 and 2025. These developments are part of H-E-B’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible, high-quality grocery options to more Texans, reinforcing its commitment to growth and community service in the state.
